At xHockeyProducts, we are players. We know what each player of each skill level needs in their training arsenal because we’ve been in there shoes (or skates). We also know which of our items make the best hockey gifts for every holiday.
After creating so many unique hockey training aids (like the xPasser and xDeviator), we found that the most difficult part of hockey to train for is the quick reactions from others, not just the player him or her self. In other words, we can prepare you for games with unique training tools, but how do we emulate a human response to fully train the player?
The xDangler bridges the gap between human and machine to the limits available to us. The machine produces a stick-waving motion that allows players to work with similar motions a human would make at speeds the player is accustomed to. The beginner player can start at a slow speed, while the more advanced players can keep cranking up the motion to fit their level.
Former NHL captain and xHockeyProducts president Bryce Salvador explains how the xDeviator helps players train, while also showing off some of the finer points of utilizing the training tool:
As you can see, the xDangler is a versatile helper in all drills. Whether you’ve played yourself or just watched team practices, you know that oftentimes, the coach acts as a barrier in the middle of the ice for drills, waving his or her stick to teach players to avoid the obstacle. There are even times when the coach asks the player to slip the puck between his or her feet or between the skates and stick. It’s a common practice that prepares players for real-game situations.
The xDangler acts as the coach in this instance (without worry of the coach taking one to the shins). The xDangler challenges the player to defeat a target on the rush, or to stickhandle through defensemen in tight spaces, as you can see from the following drills:
Finding the best hockey gifts starts at xHockeyProducts. For the player looking to perfect his or her stickhandling skills, it has to be the xDangler.
