Brad Marsh–Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club: Official Centennial Publication

It was special to be a Leaf, and I remember telling all of my former teammates, especially from Philly and Calgary, that before they retired, they HAD to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs because it is awesome to be a member of the National Hockey League, but it is special to be a Toronto Maple Leaf. That’s just how I felt. To hear the long time PA announcers in both buildings (Maple Leaf Gardens and Air Canada Centre) say your name, whether it was for a goal, assist, penalty or starting line-up, was something that I will never forget. On a few occasions, I heard my named announced as one of the Three Stars. What a thrill that was, just like I had imagined it when I was playing hockey on the corner pond as a kid!
