In our xHockey Performance Academy series, we’ve worked with trainer Ben Shear to bring you the best in plyometric, trampoline and other top-end off-ice workouts. It’s our goal to make you not only a better hockey player, but a better all-around athlete. Be prepared to see some skills training that will more focus on the game we love.
Working with Pete Talafous, the director of the xHockeyProducts year-round training facility, Total Hockey Minnesota. Also the son of former NHLer Dean Talafous, Pete learned at an early age the importance of off-ice skills training for the betterment of the player’s abilities on the ice.
Watch the video below to meet Pete and learn what this series will do for you or the young one you are trying to teach.
It’s tough to go anywhere professionally in the sport. In order for this to ever happen for a young player, it starts at the proper training techniques on and off the ice. Once these skills training techniques are implemented into a young player’s regime, it will become much more clearer what the player has to work at in order to succeed.
