Watch Bryce Salvador on MSG Network This Season

If you’re a New Jersey Devils fan and excited about the additions of Nico Hischier and Will Butcher, as well as the second season of Taylor Hall, you’ll be excited to learn of the addition to the MSG Network team.

Bryce Salvador, co-owner of xHockeyProducts and former Devils captain, will be joining Ken Daneyko, Steve Cangialosi and Deb Placey in the studio for pregame, intermission and postgame commentary for home and select away games.

Salvador’s first game as an analyst will be Saturday’s  postseason contest against the New York Rangers at Prudential Center in Newark with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. EST.

“It is an absolute honor to be a part of the exceptional in-studio crew at MSG Network,” said Salvador, a 13 NHL season veteran. “I’ve worked with Ken (Daneyko) in multiple capacities over the years, and am excited to continue that during the Devils’ season. I feel I bring a unique dynamic to the team, as I have worked in and around hockey my entire adult life.”

Since retiring in 2015, Salvador has stayed close to the game. xHockeyProducts, founded alongside former NHL netminder Peter Ing, is an online and brick-and-mortar retail company with seven locations in the United States. Salvador also manages xHockey Performance, located in Scotch Plains, N.J., which offers proprietary hockey skill development, strategic hockey-specific strength and conditioning coaching, in addition to the critical added focus on cognition and reaction training.

Salvador, a defenseman, spent parts of seven seasons with the Devils, serving as captain from 2012-13 to 2014-15. In 786 career NHL games with New Jersey and the St. Louis Blues, Salvador recorded 86 assists, 110 points and 696 penalty minutes.

“I’m ready to roll up the sleeves and get into some deep analysis with my broadcast team,” added Salvador, “but I also know it’s going to be a lot of fun. The crew has worked well together over the years and make Devils games not just informative, but extremely entertaining. I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”

Salvador is replacing former Devils forward John MacLean, who accepted a position with the Arizona Coyotes coaching staff this summer.
